1. Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate comments and views, and favorites make me smile!

2. This SHOULD be #1, because it is so important:

NO STEALING. OF ANYONE'S ART, NOT JUST MINE.

Seriously.

Right-clicking and Saving to your computer is not okay. As you notice, I don't put watermarks on my art. I don't think it helps the photographs any, and I really don't want to go through the process of "prepping" my art before I post. My art is here for you to look at and enjoy, but I will not be too thrilled with you if you steal. It is not borrowing, it is not flattery, it is theft. And if you want to risk it, go ahead. But I really don't think you want to find out the results of what happens when you steal art. That being said, if I find out theft from my collection has been happening, the watermarks go on and appropriate actions will be taken. If that doesn't at least halt the flow of theft, art will be taken down. I mostly say this because much of my photography accompanies journalism submissions and having to explain to my editor that this photograph I'm including with an article is really my own after he finds someone has snagged the picture off my devArt is really frustrating. (Only ever happened once, but it better never happen again... TinEye is an amazing website for tracking down art thieves).

That being said, thank you for paying attention. I hope you've taken these words to heart. Since you're here at my profile, you don't want a lecture! ^_^

3. I am a journalist of sorts, as well as a semi-professional author. I do travel articles, general fiction, and, what I am most known for, "band and drum corps literature." I love writing, and I love reading, but I will not proof-read or assist ("beta-ing," ect...) your writing. I am a full time student studying in a very hard profession and I hardly have enough time to write my own stories! I don't post my writing here at devArt.

4. I feel it is perfectly fine to favorite works of art without commenting. I also feel tracing is not art and I will always, always, always report a piece of questionable art. (Questionable defined as potentially stolen, mostly). This is deviantART, not MySpace or Facebook. I won't "friend" people I don't know in real life, sorry.

5. None of my art (especially photography) is up for print. I use 90% of my photography and sketches in publications and as resource art for a potentially publishable project. Sorry. Because I mostly do photography (and because, in my opinion, my sketching leaves something to be desired), I don't offer commissions. If there is something you really, really love, however, and would like it in poster form or something, please private message me and we can work out an arrangement. Not that this has ever happened yet, but it would be flattering if it did.

6. If you have fallen in love with one of my stories, or even just sort of like it, and would like to do a sketch of a character or a chapter, I would absolutely love it! I've already had several artists do paintings and sketches of characters and scenes from my upcoming novel "Hearts of Glass" and, through that, I have found artists I would like to commission for in-book illustrations and well as cover art!

7. I love adding to my Favorites Collection. If I've added your art, I have either been inspired or awed: there are so many fun, interesting, and creative ideas running through my head because of the work I find on this site. I sometimes add art just because it's given me an idea, not because of any particular talent. If you brose my Favorites Collection, dig into the folders on the left hand of the screen: I have my favorites of favorites in the main collection, but have hidden many pieces in the folders. If you love Music, Photography, Fan Art, Fantasy, or the simply interesting, you'll appreciate my favorites.
